How do I schedule my session?

When you are ready to book your session, you can reach out to me via email, phone call, text, or through this site.  We will discuss time/date options based on your schedule and my availability. Then we will discuss location options based on your vision for the session.

What's required to hold my session appointment?

In order to reserve your session date and time, the session fee is paid upfront.  This retainer fee is non-refundable but can be transferred to a new date/time if rescheduling is required.  Once we arrange the date, time & location, I will create a contract and invoice for you that will be sent via email.  The contract can be signed electronically and payment can be made directly through the invoice.  

Does the session fee include prints or digitals?

The Essentials session fee includes the session time, sneak preview to share on social media, online proofing gallery of fully edited images, virtual or in-studio reveal session, custom slideshow design, and wall art design. The Signature session fee includes all of that plus professional hair and airbrush make up.  Your session takes a lot of planning, equipment, expertise and time, so tangible prints & digital images are not included in the fee.  Most clients invest $450-2,000 on their print & digital collections during their reveal session.

What form of payment do you accept?

Credit Card, Check, Cash, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App & PayPal

Where will the session location be?

Outdoor sessions take place all around DFW and Tyler.  I certainly have my favorite locations and I can offer my suggestions based on what part of the metroplex you are in and what your interests are.  I'm always up for new and exciting spots!  If you are looking to do a studio session, my studio is conveniently located a short drive east of Dallas in Kaufman, Texas.

What is a reveal session?

During your portrait session, we will schedule a time to do your virtual or in-studio reveal session where we will go through a beautiful slideshow of your fully edited portraits and talk about how to best use those images in a print/digital collection.  I will walk you through the ordering process and I'll show you a few custom wall gallery designs that you can create.  

Are digital images included in your collections?

Absolutely!  I know digital images are ideal for many clients, especially if you have limited room for displaying your photographs.  We live in the social media era, and there's no better way to share your life with friends and family than with your new beautiful photos!  However, I think it's also important to have tangible prints that can be seen and celebrated every day, so each collection I offer includes a different quantity of high resolution digital images AND fine art prints.  BUT, don't worry!  If you decide you want additional images or to create your own collection, you can easily create one from the A La Carte collection menu.

Do you offer prints, artwork, & keepsakes?

I sure do!  You will be able to purchase fine art prints, canvases, artwork & more during your virtual or in-studio reveal session.  It's super easy!  Once you make your purchase, you will receive your order straight to the address you provide during checkout and you'll also receive a special gift from me!  

What is a fine art print? 

A fine art print is an archival quality print, meaning it's made to withstand fading and warping.  My fine art prints are all mounted on styrene with a linen texture and lustre protective coating.  They do not bend nor fade!

How do get my images?

Your portrait gallery will be ready for you within 2-3 weeks.  Wedding galleries are available within 4-6 weeks. 

Why purchase prints & artwork through my gallery instead of Walmart, Walgreens or Shutterfly?

Color space, monitor calibration, paper profiles and printer technology are advanced stuff.  When I edit your images in Photoshop, I embed color “data” into the file that a professional print lab with advanced equipment can read. They assess the metadata and print your files exactly as we see it on the screen at your ordering appointment.

What time of day is best for outdoor sessions?

The most ideal time of day for outdoor sessions is early morning after sunrise or before sunset.  That's when we get the gorgeous golden glow that I love to capture.  Although this is when the majority of my sessions take place, I know not everyone's schedules will work with those time frames, so I can make your images look amazing at other times as well.

What if there is inclement weather?

If the weather looks ominous, we will definitely reschedule (unless you are up for an exciting session...I always am!) However, cloudy days can make for incredible images because there are no issues with harsh shadows or lighting...in that case, your photos will still look warm and gorgeous due to the magic of Photoshop ;)
